Duane Davies
CEO/Chairman of the Board, National Air Balance Company
Duane Davies began his career in the Testing, Adjusting and Balancing field in 1977. Some of his most notable projects during this time were Diablo Canyon Nuclear Power Plant, the Space Shuttle Launch site project at Vandenburg Air Force base and Lawrence Livermore Lab Plutonium building remodel. In 2010 Duane joined Cal SMACNA where he became involved in Title 24 and career technical education issues, both of which he is passionate about. Duane has met several times with the CEC to discuss Title 24 as it relates to the ATTCP process and the impacts it will have on our industry. Duane has also testified in front of the legislative panel on the need to have career technical education in high schools. Duane was recently appointed to the NEMIC task force on CEC Title 24.
Cori Jackson
Program Director, California Lighting Technology Center
As Program Director at CLTC at UC Davis, Cori is responsible for planning, budgeting, scheduling, and monitoring CLTC research projects. She is a graduate of the University of California, Davis, with degrees in Optical Engineering and Mathematics. Cori is currently pursuing her master’s degree in Operations Research with a focus on building design and operations optimization.
Richard Lord
Senior Fellow, Carrier
Dick has over 45 years of experience in the design and application of commercial air-conditioning equipment and controls with expertise in systems, fluids, refrigerants, heat transfer, heat-exchanger design, software, diagnostics, commercial efficiency, and building standards. At Carrier, he supports the evaluation and selection of refrigerants for most Carrier products, including residential and commercial refrigeration and transport products. He is presently a member of the Innovation and Research Group working on refrigerants and commercial equipment, as well as systems innovation. He has 63 patents and is very active in the development of industry standards in both ASHRAE and the Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). He is also Co Vice-Chair of ASHRAE Project Committee 90.1, Energy Standard for Buildings Except Low-Rise Residential Buildings.
Daniel Salinas

Daniel has worked in the electrical industry since 1978. He has received two IESNA IIDA International Awards of Merit for his work on special project applications. He is a past president of the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES). He serves on various IES committees including Lighting Commissioning, Leadership Forum, and Student/Emerging Professionals Event Committee. He also served on the National Council on Qualifications for Lighting Professions (NCQLP) chair of the Certification Renewal Committee until June 2020. He has served as guest lecturer on lighting, lighting controls and sustainable design for programs at the University of Washington, Bellevue College and for the Illuminating Engineering Society. He is a voting member of the ASHRAE Standard 100 Existing Building Energy Committee.
